This is something I too struggle with, but then I read of a brother a long, long time ago (Timothy, I think?) who had a solution in the form of an ongoing, unending conversation with God. Bring Him into your every thought on every subject. Make your internal dialogue one with Him. Every thought that goes through your mind, share it with the Lord.
